Nie Pengju told reporters that Kolier Group began to develop servo motors in the second half of 2015, but because the key components such as encoders and drivers for servo motors come from abroad, many places are controlled by others and cannot break the monopoly of Japanese and European companies.

In order to break the monopoly of foreign technology, in 2019, he repositioned the research and development direction and determined to develop the latest generation of high-performance servo system integrating servo motor, encoder and driver.

"The biggest difficulty in developing high-performance servo systems is to form a research and development team." Nie Pengju and the personnel department tried every means to introduce a group of high-quality R & D personnel from foreign-funded enterprises, formally established a R & D team in May last year, and invested heavily in building a top domestic laboratory.

During this year's epidemic, he mobilized Kolier Electric Group to donate a total of 1.0198 million yuan to Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital and Wuhan Raytheon Mountain Hospital to help Hubei fight the epidemic. In addition, on the basis of extensive research on mask manufacturers, through the State Council's "Internet Supervision" platform, he submitted a "proposal on rapidly increasing mask production capacity", calling for the introduction of fully automated production lines for masks in key areas of the epidemic to ensure supply, and encouraging enterprises to invest in the production of masks across industries.
