At present, the feasibility study report of Shaoyang Yongzhou section of Hunan high-speed railway has been completed. The mileage of the railway line is less than 100km, the construction conditions are good, and the conditions for starting the project are basically mature.
Shaoyang and Yongzhou are the most populous cities and labor export cities in Hunan, and they have a large population in the Pearl River Delta and Beibu Gulf all the year round, which has the foundation to support railway passenger traffic. The tourism resources along the route are rich. Shaoyang Langshan is a world natural heritage. Chengbu Nanshan is undergoing a pilot project of national park system reform. Yongzhou is a national historical and cultural city with strong passenger transport demand. Speeding up the construction of the Shaoyong section of the Hunan-Guangxi high-speed railway will open up the new passage of Hunan-Guangxi, which can give full play to the geographical and resource advantages of Shaoyang, Yongzhou and other places, bring a large number of people, logistics and economic flows, and create conditions for the areas along the route to connect with the national "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative, promote the implementation of major policies, accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, promote the rapid development of foreign trade, and consolidate the achievements in poverty alleviation, it is of great significance to promote the formation of a new growth pole in our province and realize the coordinated development of the whole province.
